Nitto Jushi Kogyo Introduces CLAREX Blue Ocean Screen Range (6/6/2005)

Nitto Jushi Kogyo Co Ltd, Tokyo will introduce and exhibit a new range of front and rear projection screens called CLAREX Blue Ocean Screen at CEDIA UK (28-30 June) stand K-22. CLAREX Blue Ocean Screen (BOS) is a unique high definition front and rear projection screen manufactured by Nitto Jushi Kogyo Co Ltd, Tokyo. The BOS design is a single element screen that can perform efficiently without any lens elements such as a Fresnel and Lenticular. The BOS has an optimizing technique to control the light distribution and gives high levels of contrast and sharpness.

The design concept of the BOS is to pursue the "best picture reproduction property," and the main feature of that is a "high color reproduction property." The BOS controls light distribution of Red, Green and Blue and succeeds in intensifying the reproduction of Blue on the screen. Therefore, vivid and natural true colour reproduction is achieved because "Red," "Green," and "Blue" are reproduced almost equally on BOS. This is how the name of "Blue Ocean" is devised. "Ocean" represents "expansion" and what it means is that the BOS can expand "Blue" which is the most difficult color to reproduce on a projection screen.

Other features include a "high resolution property," a "high contrast property," a "low scintillation property," and more. These new Clarex BOS screens can offer excellent high-contrast true color pictures, and Nitto Jushi Kogyo Co Ltd introduces BOS to a new market / application that will be able to make the most of BOS ability to reproduce the best picture in both dark and bright environments.
