Aeon Digital International (ADI) unveils its new DV-280 Digital Video Recorder today at the 2005 Broadband World Forum ushering in a new era of IPTV Without Borders(TM).

The DV-280 is revolutionary. Connected to your TV and high-speed Internet line, the DV-280 can:

-- Burn up to 30 hours of video to a single recordable DVD disc -- never fill up the hard disk!

-- Play PC digital media -- digital photos, MP3 music and digital video -- directly from your PC to your TV set.

-- Instantly rent top movies with DVD quality with full Pause/Fast Forward/Rewind functionality.

-- Rent movies without driving to the store, and without paying late fees.

To provide Internet-based TV services (IPTV), ADI will deploy the Aeon Digital Network. This network is available to any DV-280 customer with a high speed Internet connection, such as a cable modem or DSL. Just like the DV-280 DVR, the innovative Aeon Digital Network will change the way entertainment is delivered to and viewed in the home.

Until now, IPTV services such as high-quality video on demand have been available only from cable, satellite or telephone service providers. Aeon Digital Network is deployed on the Internet. Anyone with a high speed Internet connection can access this service.

The DIVA DV-280 DVR will be available at retail stores in early September for approximately $299. It will be carried under select OEM brand names.
