Stardraw takes Control at CEDIA UK (31/5/2005)

Stand K25, CEDIA UK Expo 2005

Stardraw.com is pleased to present its award-winning application, Stardraw Control, at CEDIA UK. Stardraw's newest piece of software has already been honored with a PLASA Award for Innovation at London's PLASA show in September 04 where the application was first previewed, and an Innovation in Technology Award at the recent NSCA show in Orlando, FL. Stardraw Control has also been selected as a finalist in the Best Software Product for the Commercial Market category of the InfoComm Installation Product Awards.

Stardraw's marketing director, Rob Robinson, explained the key features of Stardraw Control that set it apart from other control solutions. "Stardraw Control generates standalone, customized control programs that can manage any remotely controllable equipment from any manufacturer using any protocol over any communications infrastructure. Instead of being locked into closed architectures wherever system control, monitoring or signal routing has been required, Stardraw Control offers systems integrators an open, software-based, unified control framework that can manage his entire system with a single application, regardless of system complexity. To our knowledge, no-one else offers such an innovative and flexible system, and we are delighted that the systems contracting community has already acknowledged its potential by honoring Stardraw Control with so many awards.

Like other Stardraw applications it is fast, powerful, flexible and easy to use; with a drag-drop interface and intuitive design environment, installers are able to configure systems and control them without having to write a single line of code. Utilization of Microsoft.net technology means that control programs are portable and can run on any Windows-enabled device, from PC to PDA. Importantly, Stardraw Control can communicate with and control any device using any protocol. Since support of a single protocol (e.g. infra-red) can represent support for tens of thousands of products, Stardraw Control is almost infinitely flexible and scaleable. Protocols currently supported include TCP/IP, RS232, DMX, EtherSound, CobraNET, infra-red, UDP, SNMP and QSC Net.

Stardraw Control is available from June and can be downloaded from our website at www.stardraw.com at no cost. Or, if you'd like to see it in action, please come and visit us on stand K25 at CEDIA UK.
