NetStreams DigiLinX Now Offers Seamless Multi-Room
Integration With AudioReQuest and Imerge Music Servers (31/5/2005)
Stand E50, Hall 3, CEDIA UK Expo 2005
IP-based Networked Audio Distribution System
Plays Up to 6 Audio Streams from a Single Music Server Simultaneously
to Multiple Rooms in the Home
NetStreams, the leader in IP-based Networked
Audio/Video distribution, announced that its innovative DigiLinX(TM)
IP-based distributed audio system now offers seamless integration
with both AudioReQuest and Imerge music servers.
All AudioReQuest and Imerge models now allow
up to 6 simultaneous audio streams over the DigiLinX system. DigiLinX
also supports distribution and control of the meta-data bundled
with digital audio - the extra information used to catalogue music
files such as artist, album, genre, and even cover art. DigiLinX's
TouchLinX in-wall LCD colour touch screens can display this information,
and allow users to select tracks based on its different categories.
"NetStreams places a high importance
on seamless integration of our DigiLinX system with other manufacturers'
equipment, and our partnership with AudioReQuest and Imerge further
enhances the value proposition of our product line in the custom
installation marketplace," said Herman Cardenas, founder and
CEO of NetStreams.
DigiLinX uses NetStreams' patent pending
StreamNet(TM) technology to distribute audio over CAT5e using TCP/IP
on an Ethernet network. DigiLinX converts audio from legacy sources
(Tuner, CD player, other) in real-time, to uncompressed audio streams,
allowing up to 24-bit, studio-quality audio to be distributed throughout
the home.
StreamNet automatically solves the synchronization
of an audio source to multiple rooms over a TCP/IP network, a function
that no other system has been able to provide. By taking advantage
of today's cutting-edge computer networking technology, DigiLinX
can give users access to literally millions of sources in an infinite
number of rooms or zones.
NetStreams' UK distributor, Invision, will
showcase the groundbreaking DigiLinX system on Stand E50 in Hall
3, at the CEDIA Expo at the ICC, Birmingham, 28 -30 June 2005.
