Introducing the Boston P4 Series - slim on-wall or pedestal-mounted speakers that compliment flat-panel TVs of today and tomorrow (31/5/2005)

The new P4 Series speakers are designed to deliver powerful, impressive audio in slim, sleek, compact chassis designed to perfectly compliment plasma and LCD televisions.

The Series includes five loudspeakers - the P460, the P450, the P442, the P430 and the flagship P400 high performance slim theatre speaker - a unique LCR - three channels in one solution.Ê Each P4 model (except the P400) is designed as a single-channel speaker sized to match the vertical dimension of an appropriate display screen.Ê Thus, the P460 is best suited for screen sizes approx. 60 inches and larger diagonally, the P450 speaker for 50 inch displays, the P442 for 42inch's and the P430 for 26 inches and larger.

The P460, P450 and P442 speakers feature multiple 110mm bass units for deep, authoritative bass response, low distortion and smooth uniform upper bass/lower midrange frequency response.Ê They also employ a 110mm midrange driver with a large 40mm voice coil for superb driver control and extremely high power handling.Ê All three speakers also feature Boston's high output 25mm anodised alloy tweeter.Ê The P430 features one 110mm bass unit, one 110mm midrange driver and the 25mm alloy dome tweeter.

The flagship P400 provides left, centre and right discrete dynamic channels of high quality audio in one enclosure no wider than a 42inch plasma display.Ê Uniquely versatile it can be wall mounted below or above a screen, on top of the screen with supplied feet, on a table or cabinet with the optional stand or set up to share a swivel bracket with a plasma so that all three channels of the front sound stage pivot with the TV.

The P400 employs a speaker array that consists of three 110mm bass units, three 110mm passive radiators and three 25mm alloy dome tweeters - one set of each for the left centre and right channels.

All P4 speaker cabinets are constructed from extruded aluminium for superb structural integrity that eliminates spurious resonances and vibration.Ê All P4 speakers also feature MagnaGuard magnetic shielding and every P4 speaker contains both black and silver metallic mesh grilles.

For ease of installation each P4 speaker comes supplied with a rugged wall-mounting bracket that makes it easy to position the speaker vertically or horizontally.Ê Additional mounting options include the elegant P4TS table mount and stylish P4TL cast-alloy height-adjustable floor mount, both available separately.

Available in the UK now with UK RRPs ranging from an affordable £349 for the P430 up to £1199 for the flagship P400 LCR. Stands are £79 for the table top to £299 for the floor stands.Ê
