Monitor Audio Shows New Additions to Architectural Speaker Range (26/5/2005)

Monitor Audio will be showing the its CP range of architectural speakers and award-winning Radius range of compact, decor-friendly loudspeakers, together with new additions to its architectural speaker range: 'Radius CP' and 'Pro-IC'.

Celebrating an innovative synthesis of its highly successful 'Radius' and 'CP' ranges, Monitor Audio brings to custom installers the ultimate compact architectural loudspeakers: Radius CP and the Pro-IC. Each of the new three-strong 'Radius CP' range including in-wall, in-ceiling and in-ceiling stereo models is fitted with its own rigid enclosure. The ultra-slim Pro-IC is an open-backed design. All the new models utilise a pivoting 20mm gold C-CAMR dome tweeter.

Driver technology refined to deliver the unparalleled sonic performance of Monitor Audio's award-winning ultra-compact Radius loudspeakers has been applied to its successful Controlled Performance (CP) in-wall/in-ceiling designs to render a completely new flush-mounting loudspeaker range for the most discreet installations.

Each of the new three-strong 'Radius CP' range including in-wall, in-ceiling and in-ceiling stereo models is fitted with its own rigid enclosure to ensure that its exceptional sound remains consistent wherever it is installed.

The in-wall and in-ceiling models utilise a pivoting 20mm gold C-CAMR dome tweeter, derived from the remarkable Radius 45 hi-fi monitor - the smallest speaker Monitor Audio has ever made. Its pivoting action allows for the critical high frequencies (to 25kHz) to be directed toward the listing position for the most accurate imaging. Radius CP delivers added installation versatility by providing this feature from in-wall as well as in-ceiling locations. The innovative 'Stereo FX' in-ceiling stereo design uses dual fixed C-CAM (Ceramic Coated Aluminium Magnesium) domes fed independently with stereo left/right signals. Bass and mid-range frequencies are accurately reproduced by a 5" version of the acclaimed Radius MMPR Mk2 driver.

The highly flexible Pro -IC from Monitor Audio brings to custom installers the ultimate compact architectural loudspeaker

The Pro-IC features an open back design to allow this ultra slim speaker to fit into the most demanding and compact spaces. Installation flexibility is enhanced by high-quality gold plated push terminals and effective 'dog' style fixings.

The Pro-IC utilises a similar driver configuration as Radius CP: a pivoting 20mm C-CAMR Gold Dome tweeter and 5" Radius MMPR Mk2 driver for bass and mid frequencies.
