Projecta Introduces the SlimCinema Compact Home Cinema Projection Screen (26/5/2005)

Projecta, global leader in the field of the development, production and sale of professional and Home Cinema projection screens, has expanded its existing collection of Home Cinema solutions even further with the introduction of the complete range of Home Cinema screens equipped with a black case. This new feature allows you to integrate your Home Cinema projection screen even better into your living room or Home Cinema viewing room. Another new product is the SlimCinema, the most compact, manually operated Home Cinema projection screen currently available. The extra high black border at the top of the screen allows viewers to always adjust the screen to the ideal viewing height.

Bulk makes room for elegance

The popularity of Home Cinema systems continues to grow. All over the world, design-conscious consumers are looking for elegant and affordable solutions. The business world is also finding out more and more that a high-quality presentation requires a high-quality screen. The projection screen is an indispensable component of Home Cinema or professional installations, and at least as important as the source of information and the beamer. With the right projection screen, viewers can enjoy superior image quality from every viewing angle. Thanks to bright, brilliant colours, even the tiniest details of the film or presentation will not escape the audience's attention.

Modern design

In addition to the white case, Projecta now also offers Home Cinema products which come equipped with a black case. This new feature makes it even easier for you to integrate or assimilate your Home Cinema projection screen in your Home Cinema viewing room. Your living room can literally be transformed immediately into a sports stadium, cinema or concert hall. With the renewed and improved Home Cinema range from Projecta, you will have the perfect way to spend the "night out" in the comfort of your own cosy home.

As the most compact manually operated Home Cinema projection screen available on the market, the SlimCinema represents a strong addition to Projecta's product range. The screen is manually operated via a spring mechanism. The screen is equipped with an extra high black border at the top for an optimal viewing height (extra screen fabric enables the user to adjust the projection screen to the ideal viewing height).

The Home Cinema screens are available in popular sizes, varying from 120 - 240 cm in width and in the aspect ratios 4:3 and 16:9. Thanks to their modern design and the ease with which they may be operated, these screens stand out from the rest.

All of the Home Cinema screens come equipped with a matte white screen fabric for natural display of colours or a High Contrast screen fabric for deeper black values, better shadow details and a heightened contrast. A special black border all around the innovative screens improves the clarity of the perceived image, prevents bothersome reflection and ensures the sharpest possible image. Make sure that the projected image is precisely outlined on the black borders. The extra high black border at the top of the Home Cinema screens ensures that viewers are always able to adjust to the ideal viewing height.

Why a screen?

A projection screen is an indispensable component in every presentation or home cinema. The image must be as clear and legible as possible for many viewers at the same time. The choice of the projection screen used plays an important role in this. Every situation is unique and the choice of screen is determined in part by factors such as ambient light, light output, the settings on the projector and the presentation room itself. Projecta has developed a four-step system so that users may easily select the right projection screen for every application.
