RGB SmartHome to show projectiondesign Action! model three single chip dual lamp high performance home cinema projector at CEDIA Expo 2005 (25/5/2005)

Stand B56, CEDIA UK Expo 2005

On show for the very first time at any UK based trade show will be the stunning Action! model three home cinema projector from projectiondesign. The unique combination of Texas Instruments HD2+ Mustang DMD' chip with projectiondesign's proprietary DuArch' illumination architecture - implementing two completely individual lamps, dual 7-segment colour wheels and dual irises - results in unprecedented performance levels from a single chip system. Contrast levels up to 7500 : 1 and adjustable light levels from 800 to 2500 ANSI lumens ensure the model three can cater for any screen size in any serious home cinema application.

Key features of the Action! model three include:

High definition DLP' technology as standard - 1280 x 720 resolution is ideal for High Definition TV and standard video, delivering images with outstanding detail and clarity.

High end video processing - the model three features the Faroudja( FLI2310 de-interlacing chipset for high end, high performance video processing, free from artefacts and with sharp, detailed pictures with deeply saturated colours.

Wide range of high resolution glass lenses - six replaceable bayonet mount lenses cover every need, from the Ultra Wide Angle at 0.88 : 1, ideal for rear projection, to the Super Tele Zoom at 4.4 - 7.7 : 1. All lenses (apart from the Ultra Wide-Angle designed for on axis projection) feature full lens shift in all directions, allowing complete flexibility in installation without any image alteration or distortion.

6 and 7-segment colour wheel options - unlike any other manufacturer, projectiondesign offer the model three home cinema projector with different colour wheel options, 6-segment 5 x speed and 7-segment 5x speed versions being available. While the 6-segment colour wheel provides a little more punch and brightness as well as superbly smooth image panning, the 7-segment wheel greatly stabilises and improves definition in low level information, improving visibility of low level detail.

Long lamp life - up to 8000 hours - as the model three incorporates two lamps, the lamps can be set to operate in automatic relay mode for a long life of up to 8000 hours.

Dual, single and automatic lamp relay modes - the model three can be configured to run in full power dual, long life single and automatic lamp relay modes. In automatic relay mode, lamps will alternate in operation to keep both lamps at the same performance level at all times.

Adjustable output brightness - the user can adjust power output for each lamp individually in addition to adjusting illumination and lens aperture Irises and apertures, giving an infinitely adjustable brightness output from about 500 ANSI lumens to 2500 ANSI lumens.

Installation flexibility - with full lens shift vertically and horizontally (110% and 90% Respectively) and full illumination control - no other projector can match the model three for flexibility and adjustability.
