Sony is pleased to announce the launch of its RDR-HX510 Hard Disk Drive DVD recorder. Whether it's Coronation Street, Grand Designs or Newsnight you can't get enough of, this model combines top-of-the-range recording technology, ease of use and chic design at an affordable price point to make sure you never miss a moment of the action.

The RDR-HX510's Intelligent Scene Chaptering lets you record programmes or movies and easily access and delete unwanted scenes ensuring that even those with the busiest of lifestyles can keep up with their favourite shows, without any unnecessary interruptions.

Now you can watch what you want, when you want with the new 'Pause Live TV' function that lets you pause live programmes to make a cup of tea or answer the telephone, and then pick up where you left off, or simply fast-forward to catch up with the real time broadcast.

The dual hard-disk and DVD function means you can record your favourite programmes and films onto the hard drive to view at your leisure, and if you want to take them with you, burn straight to DVD. The RDR-HX510 is the first DVD recorder that is double layer disc compatible so you can now record over 14 hours of your favourite programmes onto one DVD.

The Sony RDR-HX510 combines ease of use with state of the art technology - boasting 80GB HDD capability which equals 134 hours of recording time and a recording speed of 15Mbps, onto the hard disk. It also features a newly developed D-Matrix Noise Reduction feature that diminishes the 'digital noise' of recordings for picture quality second to none. Whatever your lifestyle the Sony RDR-HX510 is the HDD DVD recorder for you.
