Comm-tec launches the brand new T3 Colour Remote Control from RTI at CEDIA UK 2005 (19/5/2005)

Stand K12

Comm-Tec, trade-only distributor of branded products to the AV and Home Cinema Markets, is launching the latest in a successful line of remote controls for the home cinema to come from Remote Technologies Inc. The all-new T3 is RTI's ultimate handheld universal controller with a full colour TFT LCD display, powerful 32-bit MCU, 32MB of memory and Wi-Fi communication option. Combining the power and flexibility of a graphic LCD touchscreen with an ergonomic design that permits effortless one-handed operation the T3, on its own, is the most user friendly universal remote you have ever used. Combined with the TheaterTouchú products, the T3 becomes a robust commercial quality control system.

Other products from RTI, due to be launched in June may also be shown at CEDIA UK and include the U1 Waterproof Controller for use in your bathroom, hot-tub, luxury yachts etc.

Also planned for launch at the show will be the K4 In-Wall Universal Controller from RTI. The K4 is an advanced universal system controller that mounts in a wall. Its design maintains the perfect balance between display size and resolution. At 6.4ins the LCD is small enough to blend into a room's interior, yet provides the full VGA resolution necessary for displaying video windows and web pages. The K4 interface is fully programmable using RTI's software, making it easy to display custom buttons, text, graphics and animations. The K4 can directly control almost any audio/video component or lighting system up to 1000ft away using its infra-red output port. In addition, the built-in Ethernet port allows the K4 to display video from network security cameras, access the Internet, view and play songs stored on hard drive music servers, and control other devices on the network. An optional video card provides the ability to digitise composite video for full screen or scaleable viewing on any control page.

The K4 can be used as a stand-alone device or as part of an expandable central control system. When used with the available RTI accessory devices, the K4 is capable of infrared routing, relay control, power sensing, and RS-232 communications for advanced control.
