Experience a Smarter Future for Homes at CEDIA Expo
2005 (3/5/2005)
CEDIA Expo 2005 is the only dedicated trade
event for the UK's fast-growing home technology, automation and
integration sector.
Taking place at Birmingham's International
Convention Centre (27th to 30th June 2005 Training,; 28th-30th June
Training and Expo), CEDIA Expo 2005 will feature exhibition stands
showcasing the latest in home technology from over 100 companies.
CEDIA Expo 2005 will also feature 70 educational seminars, product
training sessions, forums, workshops and a varied schedule of business
networking opportunities. Housebuilders, architects and interior
designers are welcome to take advantage of the Expo education programme
and are invited to attend a dedicated course on interior design
and custom installation.
CEDIA is also hosting a dedicated one day
conference at this year's CEDIA Expo, entitled, "Home Electronics
In Architecture And Interior Design". Chaired by The Architects
Journal magazine and supported by the Royal Institute of British
Architects (RIBA) and the British Interior Design Association (BIDA),
this event will take place on Wednesday 29th June. It will enable
architects, interior designers and other building specifiers to
gain an understanding of the different elements involved in integrating
electronics within the home. The day is also designed so that conference
delegates have sufficient time to visit the Expo itself.
Four conference sessions will begin with
CEDIA's CPD course, "Designing Future-Ready Homes". This will be
followed by a session looking at technologies and techniques for
designing and integrating home cinema and whole house audio systems
within the fabric of the home. A dedicated course exploring approaches
and benefits of advanced lighting control in the home follows, and
the conference ends with a session designed to offer practical advice
for architects and interior designers on how the skills of custom
electronics specialists can best complement their own.
They can also visit an exhibition feature
which will showcase how custom installation technologies can be
effectively and seamlessly integrated into the interior fabric of
a property.
From modest beginnings in Harrogate in 1996,
when just over 300 visitors attended, last year's CEDIA Expo attracted
over 3,000 trade visitors to Birmingham. As the market continues
to expand, this year's event promises to be bigger and better than
ever before.
