Interact-TV Announces Multiroom Home Entertainment
Server Solution (15/4/2005)
-Cost Effective Multiroom Distribution of
Digital Media Across Home Networks-
Building upon the Telly Home Entertainment
Server(TM) product line, Interact-TV(TM) , a leading developer of
home entertainment servers, today announced a new, low cost Telly
TC150 client that expands consumer access of digital media to multiple
rooms utilizing the home network. The Telly TC150 will sell for
$499 and will also be paired with Interact-TV's award winning Telly
MC1200 to create a two room server/client package starting at $1249.
The Telly TC150 client can access and playback
all the digital media stored on any Telly Home Entertainment Server
on the home network. This includes recorded programs, saved DVDs,
music and digital photos. With the TV input option, the Telly TC150
can record television programs. Upgrade the Telly TC150 with a DVD
player to store or playback DVDs right from the client unit. The
Telly TC150 also has its own 80 GB hard drive, providing distributed
storage throughout the home network. This creates better security
as well as easy digital media storage expansion. The Telly TC150
is small and compact, measuring 12.5" x 4.5" x 10", so it fits easily
into any room in the house.
"We are seeing increased demand from consumers
who want to easily access their digital media from anywhere in their
home," stated Ken Fuhrman, CEO of Interact-TV. "The Telly TC150
is small enough to put anywhere, from the kitchen to the bedroom
to the den. Now consumers can always have their digital media available,
wherever they are in the home, without sacrificing the ease of use
required to manage digital media effectively."
The Telly TC150 can access all of the standard
Telly server features which allow consumers to easily store, organize,
playback and enjoy digital media in their home. Telly servers are
compact and quiet, designed for any room in the home and fully scaleable
with up to 1.2 Terabytes of media storage. Telly's comprehensive
entertainment management features include a personal video recorder
and a digital video library which serves everything from stored
DVDs to recorded video, home videos, and Internet downloaded videos.
The included music library and digital photo library can store entire
music and photo collections. Telly digital media libraries can be
accessed directly from a TV connected to the Telly unit and shared
with networked Telly clients, media adapters, and PCs throughout
the home network.
The Telly TC150 will be available in May
2005 directly from the manufacturer's online store.
