SIM2 Makes HDMI Retrofit Upgrade Available for Projectors (23/3/2005)

SIM2 Multimedia, the leading manufacturer of home theatre projectors, announces the introduction of HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) upgrades for a selection of their older models.

HDMI transmits HDTV at 2.2Gbps and is an uncompressed medium with HDCP (high bandwidth digital contents protection). HDMI, in comparison to any other digital medium currently available, is the best standard for uncompressed Audio/Video digital stream. For further information on HDMI visit www.HDMI.org

SIM2 are pleased to confirm that the following projectors can be upgraded to receive a HDCP compliant HDMI Digital input:

Domino 20
Domino 30
Grand Cinema HT300Plus
Grand Cinema HT300Xtra

The cost of the upgrade is £1300 inc vat plus P&P

The HT300HD model can also be upgraded to the latest HT300 Evolution specification (including HD2+ DC3 upgrade) and all new processing electronics at a cost of £3100 inc vat plus P&P.

Turnaround time is approx 14 days.
