cinemateq Offers New Firmware 4.0 for Picture Optimizer Plus (II) (25/2/2005)

Since today the new firmware for the picture optimizer plus (II) model is available officially. The operation of the device is more comfortable and the range of functions larger than ever before: Faster navigation times, extended options and improved control functionality.

With the Upgrade of the control software, which is offered as before for the free Download on the Internet, the following advantages are offered:

New function OVERSCAN H/V

The Overscan value can be entered horizontal and vertically separately. With it picture geometry errors can be corrected, which shows e.g. 15:9 display with 1280x720 pixel or 5:4-Displays with 1280x1024 pixel. With the separated Overscan function in addition, individual display formats (e.g. for anamorphe and nonanamorphe pictures) can be produced user-defined and stored for each entrance.

Extended function OVERSCAN DEFAULT

The pre-setting of the Overscan function can be changed for this input between Overscan "OFF", "ON V=H" and "ON H/V".

Extended function NOISE REDUCTION

The parameters for the noise filter can be varied now between the stage 1 to 7. Different parameters are finely variable like dynamic (temporal) and spatial (surface-moderate) integration (so far only Noise Reduction ON or OFF).

Conversion of the function key "menu"

The so-called EXPERT MENU is now integrated in the fourth place in the main menue and can be called by arrow key and "OK" key directly.
