TRIBUTARIES Introduces New PentaVideo and TriVideo Cables Using ProFit Radial Compression Systems (8/2/2005)

TRIBUTARIES(R) introduces new PentaVideo and TriVideo cables TRIBUTARIES(R) now offers an all-in-one "step-up" solution for making Component Video and RGBHV Video cables in the field using the ProFit(R) Radial Compression System technology.

Prior to the TRIBUTARIES(R) PentaVideo and TriVideo cables, the only other cables available for in-field assembly using the radial compression tools were RG59, RG6, and mini-RGBHV coaxial cables. Installers of the new HDTV display devices, CRT, DLP, PDP, etc., requested a cabling solution that was a ćstep-upä from the standard RG and mini series. TRIBUTARIES(R) responded by having proprietary ProFit(R) RCA and BNC connectors engineered for PentaVideo and TriVideo cables. PentaVideo is made of five color-coded 75-ohm video cables in one black flexible UL(R) CL2 jacket. TriVideo is made of three color-coded 75-ohm video cables in one black flexible UL(R) CL2 jacket. PentaVideo and TriVideo cables are available in TRIBUTARIES(R) Silver Series with silver-plated OFHC copper conductors or in TRIBUTARIES(R) Direct Series with OFHC copper conductors. Both series are available on 328 ft. rolls.

The ProFit(R) Radial Compression System technology preserves a coaxial cableās critical 75- ohm impedance by maintaining the outer diameter (O.D.) of the cableās dielectric. By comparison, old-style axial compression tools distort the cableās O.D. by compressing the dielectric, effectively changing the cableās impedance.

To remove a connector compressed onto a PentaVideo or TriVideo cable requires 90 lbs. of force. When you compress a ProFit(R) connector onto a PentaVideo or TriVideo cable, you can be assured that the connectors will stay on the cable even after many times of plugging and unplugging. TRIBUTARIES(R) PentaVideo and TriVideo provide the solution of high-performance cables that can be made in the field ensuring top performance and proper system cabling cosmetics.
