TRIBUTARIES New Adapters Provide Solutions for Transition
from DVI to HDMI (8/2/2005)
TRIBUTARIES(R) proudly introduces two new
adapters that will provide solutions for the transition from DVI
to HDMI: HDMI (female) to DVI-D (male) and DVI-D (female) to HDMI
(male). Both TRIBUTARIES(R) adapters are made with gold-plated contacts
which are surrounded by a copper foil shield and over-molded with
a rugged black polyvinyl chloride (PVC) shell. To maintain a long-term,
corrosion-free connection, as well as an attractive cosmetic appearance,
all contact surfaces and external metal parts are gold plated.
As a result of the rigorous technology of
the TRIBUTARIES(R) DVI design, the construction of the HDMI adapters
requires extremely precise engineering of the internal lead lengths
and their connections.
If a signal carrying conductorâs length
varies by more than twenty thousandths of an inch (.020"),
from any other signal carrying conductor inside the adapter, picture
quality may be compromised.
TRIBUTARIES(R) ensures the integrity of the
HDMI signal by:
* Precise engineering of internal lead length
not to exceed the .020" differential. * "Potting"
the internal connector in this process, a potting liquid is poured
into the adapter cavity which then solidifies ensuring stable conductor
lengths over time.
TRIBUTARIES(R) HDMI to DVI-D and DVI-D to
HDMI adapters have a suggested retail price of $50.
