RGB Communications establish full time presence and training support in Ireland (3/2/2005)

RGB Communications are absolutely delighted to announce our very first full time appointment in Ireland. Andrew Cottle, who has worked for RGB for more than four years in a senior technical support role, takes up his new appointment as Field Sales Executive, Ireland at the start of February and will be based near Dublin.

"There is tremendous potential throughout Ireland", said RGB Managing Director Caroline Britt upon announcing Andrew's appointment. "Whilst we have regularly toured Ireland with Rigsby and held many RGB Road Show events in Dublin, we have never had a full time presence or been able to give the Irish Audio Visual dealers the support on the ground that they deserve. Andrew's presence will rectify that as he has the ideal combination of in-depth technical knowledge coupled with many years' sales experience".

Andrew is an AudioVisual man to the core, having worked in sales and technical support roles within the AV industry for more than twenty years. For the last four years he has worked for RGB Communications in a senior technical support role, focusing on the controls side of RGB Communications business. Andrew's all embracing knowledge of RGB Communications products, coupled with his tremendous technical knowledge and skills puts him in the perfect position to help support and develop the Audio visual marketplace throughout Ireland.

Andrew's role will be to support and work with both residential and commercial AudioVisual dealers and Custom Installers in developing the marketplace for our full range of integrated AV solutions. One of his objectives is to ensure that RGB training courses are delivered in Ireland. For more than a decade RGB has delivered a comprehensive suite of product training courses here at RGB i-school in Hungerford.

"We know it is expensive and time consuming for Irish dealers to travel to the UK for training, so we are bringing the training to Ireland", commented Andrew Cottle. "It is our intention to run the first training session during the course of the forthcoming RGB Irish Road Show, which will be held at the Red Cow Moran Hotel, Dublin on Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd March. There we will be staging a mini exhibition of the RGB product ranges as well as delivering the first course identified by the Irish dealer network in a training survey we are currently conducting".

For the past 5 years RGB Communications has conducted a successful series of quarterly Open Days for dealers and consultants at their dedicated i-school training centre in Hungerford. Dealers are free to come at a time to suit themselves over two days and see all the latest products and quiz the sales and technical support teams. This programme will continue throughout 2005, with the addition of the Road Show in Dublin in March, where the first dedicated RGB Irish training session will be held.
