Collaboration (2/2/2005)
D2Audio, the world's only manufacturer of
intelligent, customizable digital amplifiers, today announced a
research and technology collaboration with Polk Audio, a leading
manufacturer of high performance audio products. The project centers
on the development of Polk's LC265ip in-wall loudspeaker, the world's
first Internet Protocol (IP) speaker that will feature digital amplifiers,
electronic crossovers, DSP circuitry and TCP/IP control modules
built into the speakers to deliver a wealth of demonstrable convenience
and performance benefits when used with IP addressable audio distribution
systems such as the NetStreams DigiLinx. D2Audio is working closely
with Polk engineers to develop the cutting-edge digital amplifier
and DSP technologies for the LC265ip.
