Projecta to launch new large projection screens at
Integrated Systems Europe fair (1/2/2005)
Projecta, a world leader in development,
manufacture and sales of both professional and Home Cinema projection
screens, is expanding its already extensive assortment with the
introduction of four new large projection screens and made-to-measure
screens. The new projection screens are to be launched during the
upcoming Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) trade fair, which is scheduled
to take place in the RAI Congress and Exhibition Centre in Amsterdam
from January 26 Ð 28, 2005.
ISE is the only European-wide platform for
the professional system integration market that serves both the
living and the commercial environment. The fair strongly anticipates
the increasing popularity of home installation in the audio/video
market. Projecta is well known for its extensive assortment of high
quality Home Cinema screens and professional screens. With the introduction
of large and made-to-measure projection screens that are designed
especially for use in large rooms, meeting rooms, cinemas and so
forth, the company is further expanding its reach, offering a solution
for virtually every situation.
Large projection screens for large rooms
Both the choice of a large projection screen
as well as the installation require the necessary preparation. By
taking fully into account the situation in which the large screen
will be placed and used, one can avoid unnecessary costs and unforeseen
problems.
Projecta supplies large projection screens
from 3 to 20 metres wide and will even create a made-to-measure
projection screen suited to meet special needs. The four new large
screens each have their own specific features and stand out for
their superb quality. The projection screen fabric ensures an entirely
flat screen for optimum image quality and the fabric satisfies the
highest standards for fire safety (M1). Each screen is equipped
with a sturdy case and a strong motor. They can be mounted on the
wall and / or ceiling using brackets which allow for a flexible
installation either on top or back of the case. A five-year guarantee
on the motor and the CE quality level is standard.
Wide, wider, widest
The GiantScreen electrol is available in
widths varying from 4.5 to 7 metres. One size up is the GiantKing
electrol, which ranges in widths from 7 to 10 metres. Larger yet
is the JumboScreen electrol, available in widths from 7 to 12 metres.
The JumboKing electrol is the largest of the four new screens, ranging
in size between 13 to 20 metres.
Generally speaking, large screens are designed
to be used for a longer period. A thermal overload cut-out will
be activated to prevent burnout when the pause between rolling in
and out is too brief. The projection screen is then put in a rest
position of 15 minutes. This feature comes standard with all these
models. Both the JumboScreen electrol and the JumboKing electrol
are equipped with the polychinelle system, ensuring a perfectly
taut fabric. Using this system, the projection screen fabric is
rolled around the slat bar. The slat bar is then rolled in and out
with steel cables on both sides via a pulley system. The two screens
are also fitted with special safety brackets. An anti-fall blocking
system prevents the metal roller from falling out of the case during
emergencies. Safety is guaranteed even in this exceptional situation.
Made-to-measure
In addition to Projecta's broad range of
off-the-shelf projection screens, some situations might require
a customized approach. In these cases, Projecta offers made-to-measure
solutions that do not compromise quality or special installation
requirements. To make life easier, Projecta has standardised a number
of custom adjustments to some of its electrical projection screens,
including the Elpro Large electrol, Elpro (RF) electrol and Cinelpro
(RF) electrol. The standardised customisation includes shortening
the projection screen fabric and case, the availability of cases
in different colours and a variation in borders. The motor can be
mounted on the right instead of the left and the fabric may be mounted
back to front, such that the projection side is at the back. Other
options include extra long projection screen fabric and extra black
painted projection screen fabric.
Superb picture quality
As the popularity of Home Cinema systems
continues to increase, design-conscious consumers and professionals
everywhere are looking for elegant and affordable solutions. The
realisation that a top quality presentation requires a top quality
screen is sinking in. With the right Projecta projection screen,
viewers will enjoy a superb picture quality from every angle, with
bright, sparkling colours that allow them to appreciate even the
smallest details of the film or the presentation they are watching.
Visitors to the Projecta's stand at the ISE
can see and experience the company's top-of-the-range products,
varying from large and made-to-measure screens to ultra lightweight
screens for mobile professional and Home Cinema use as well as the
latest high-contrast screens, tension screens and plasma stands.
