dnp Shows New Display for Super Compact Rear Projection
(1/2/2005)
New screen technology from dnp reduces the
built-in depth of a 65" rear projection system to as little as 30
cm. The new screen solves the problem of projecting high quality
images in conference rooms and home theatres with limited installation
space.
The new rear projection display is based
on dnp's TIR technology Ð a unique lens design, which makes it possible
to bend the light projected from a very steep angle, and directs
it forward at right angles towards the viewers.
The screen is a special version of dnp's
Rigid Ultra Contrast Screen, which has been customized for the WT600
off-axis projector from NEC. Installed with a vertical mirror, the
65" screen has a built-in depth of only 300 mm Ð or less than a
fifth of the screen width. Furthermore, the screen offers enhanced
brightness uniformity compared to a diffusion screen Ð and increases
the light output from the screen towards the audience up to 5 times.
The dnp Ultra Contrast Screen for NEC WT600
projectors will be on display at dnp denmark's stand at Integrated
Systems Europe in Amsterdam from January 26-28.
