SpeakerCraft Announces Two New Square In-Ceiling Speakers (1/2/2005)

Ideal When A Cosmetic Alternative To Round Is Required

SpeakerCraft, America's original manufacturer of in-wall speakers, announces the release of two square in-ceiling speakers, CSS One and Three. Both models are timbre matched with the CRS6 One and Three and MT6 One & Three (respectively), making it possible to mix in-wall and in-ceiling speakers for a coherent and balanced home cinema system.

According to Jeff Francisco, SpeakerCraft's Vice President of Product Development, "Our dealers, both domestically and internationally, requested square in-ceiling speakers. To meet their needs, we expanded our popular line of CRS (custom round speakers) to include square models, both of which can be used in conjunction with our CRS and MT line."

CSS One & Three feature SpeakerCraft's exclusive WavePlane(TM) technology, advancing the performance of co-axial speakers by providing a solid surface for tweeter reflections, delivering clear, balanced high frequencies directly to the listener. The WavePlane ensures a 97% solid plane for the tweeter with an 80% open area for the woofer, resulting in a broader sweet spot for the upper frequencies and greater bass response.

The CSS Three features a 6.5" aluminium cone woofer with dual voice coil and rubber surround, and pivoting 1" liquid cooled aluminium dome tweeter with neodymium magnet. Front-mounted switches allow for up to + 3dB of bass and treble adjustment. Frequency response is 40Hz Ð 20kHz + 2dB.

The CSS One features a 6.5" polypropylene cone woofer with rubber surround and pivoting 1" liquid cooled silk dome tweeter with neodymium magnet. Front-mounted switches allow for up to + 3dB of bass and treble adjustment. Frequency response is 40Hz Ð 20kHz + 2dB.

Both CSS in-ceiling speakers are 100% weather resistant and offer a lifetime warranty.
