RBH Introduces Signature In-Wall Series (1/2/2005)

New speakers redefine performance standards of in-wall speakers

RBH Sound Inc. announces significant upgrades to their Professional Series in-wall speakers, and adds them to their award winning Signature Series lineup of freestanding speakers. Two redesigned subwoofers and an all-new in-wall usher in the new Signature In-wall Series.

Proprietary aluminum drivers are the mainstay in the Signature Series lineup so to upgrade the WS-100 and FS-12 custom subwoofers they were given all new aluminum drivers and renamed the SI-10 and SI-12. The 10-inch SI-10 (US$449) can be cleverly hidden in the wall, and the 12-inch SI-12 (US$479) can be mounted in between the joists of the floor or ceiling and vents through a "grille" made to look like the register of an HVAC system.

The SI-740 (US$399/each) is a 2-way in-wall that features one 6-_-inch aluminum woofer mated with a 1-inch silk-dome tweeter. The SI-740 is based on its larger sibling, the SI-760, but is designed for applications requiring a smaller footprint and/or budget.

"Upgrading the Professional Series and folding it into our Signature Series just made sense", stated Roger B. Hassing, president of RBH Sound. "The performance and value were already there, we just had to step it up a notch and bring it up to the level of our flagship Signature Series. The upgrades also provide our customers the option to mix and match freestanding speakers with their in-wall counterparts for the ultimate in installation flexibility."

The rest of the Signature In-wall Series lineup includes: SI-760, a dual 6-inch 2-way in-wall, US$575/each; SI-770, a dual 6-inch 2-way in-cabinet, US$575/each and the SI-6100, a quad 6- inch, 2-way, in-wall US$1,749/each.

All Signature In-wall Series speakers are shipping now.
