The Future of HomeWorks from Lutron (31/1/2005)

Lutron Electronics Co. Inc., the world leader in lighting control, has launched an enhancement to its highly successful HomeWorks(TM) system, that guarantee's the system's future flexibility.

The addition of P5 Processors to both the HomeWorks(TM) 4 and 8 Series, provides the lighting control system with on-board Ethernet connectivity, as well as increased memory and processing power. The use of P5 Processors ensures HomeWorks(TM) has a strong platform for new features and software enhancements for years to come.

As the premiere HomeWorks(TM) offering, the 8 Series features the widest selection of control styles and finishes to complement any home. The addition of Ethernet connectivity not only enables the seamless integration of lights and window treatments with AV touch screen control systems, but offers the ideal solution for domestic installations where a variety of different manufacturers products' need to communicate through a single screen or keypad. To 'future-proof' HomeWorks(TM), wireless capability has also been integrated into the system with the addition of a new wireless communication link.

The addition of a P5 Processor to the HomeWorks(TM) 4 Series, an economical option featuring products that use local dimming controls, provides the system with built-in Ethernet connectivity, with an optional wireless expansion capability.
