Complete Line of D-Link Digital Home Convergence
Products Including Streaming Audio, Video Players, Gaming Routers,
Internet Surveillance Solutions and Emerging VoIP Technologies Will
Be Demonstrated in D-Link Booth #35832, Located in the Upper South
Hall, Las Vegas Convention Center
D-Link, the global leader in consumer connectivity,
unveils next generation digital home solutions designed to give
consumers strong and secure network connections anywhere throughout
the home for seamless sharing and streaming of multimedia, data
sharing and gaming applications at CES in Las Vegas this week. The
D-Link 50' x 50' booth demonstrations include exciting new additions
to the "2005 CES Innovations Honoree" MediaLounge(TM) Wireless Media
Player product line empowering users to enjoy music, photos, video
and Internet entertainment to any television in the home, the new
D-Link GamerLounge(TM) gaming routers optimizing Internet traffic
for a "lag-free" gaming experience, powerful Internet surveillance
solutions and innovative new VoIP products. These cutting-edge products,
along with D-Link's award-winning home networking products, are
displayed at booth #35832 in the Las Vegas Convention Center, South
Hall from January 6th through the 9th.
"The CES show is an excellent vehicle to
showcase and demonstrate our latest connectivity technologies for
consumers in the digital home," said Steven Joe, president and CEO
of D-Link. "With our breakthrough D-Link digital home solutions,
consumers experience powerful, yet transparent network connections
between PCs, TVs and portable devices allowing them to access a
wide array of content options from anywhere inside the home."
Innovative Products for the Digital Home
To provide consumers with an engaging digital
home experience, D-Link has developed a full range of product solutions
for maximizing an Internet connection, sharing resources and sharing
multimedia content allowing consumers to interactively reach out
to friends and family in ways never before possible.
The industry has made significant progress
in the development of standards for interoperability and D-Link
continues to embrace these standards as a measurement baseline criterion
when developing new and innovative connectivity devices for consumers
in the digital home. D-Link strictly adheres to the IEEE and ITU
standards and is a key contributor to the Digital Living Network
Alliance (DLNA). D-Link embraces the Microsoft PlaysForSure logo
certification for the MediaLounge product family, ensuring that
purchased PlaysForSure digital music, movies and other premium content
will play seamlessly while protecting the copyrights of the provider.
In order to ease the installation of new networking products, upcoming
D-Link solutions are Windows Connect Now compliant, using a USB
key to transfer networking setting for quick and easy configuration
of new convergence devices.
MediaLounge Wireless Media Solutions
Building on the highly successful MediaLounge
Wireless Media Player (DSM-320), D-Link will display the next generation
of powerful wirelessly networked media players, including the new
MediaLounge Wireless Media Player with DVD (DSM-320RD) and 5-in-1
Flash Card Reader, the MediaLounge High Definition (HD) Wireless
Media Player (DSM-520) and the new MediaLounge Wireless Media Server
(DSM-5208R), with high-definition support and 80 Gigabytes of on-board
storage for music, video and picture files. Following suit with
the original D-Link MediaLounge Wireless Media Player, the new D-Link
MediaLounge Wireless Media Player with DVD will carry the Microsoft
PlaysForSure logo certification, guaranteeing that purchased PlaysForSure
digital music, movies and other premium content will play seamlessly
without additional configuration or firmware updates. With its integrated
USB 2.0, the new D-Link MediaLounge Wireless Media Player with DVD
is Windows Connect Now compliant, allowing quick and easy network
configuration. Additionally, D-Link will be demonstrating advanced
content services for the MediaLounge family of products such as
AOL's You've Got Pictures(TM) Web-based Picture service, the Radio@AOL
music service, RealNetworks' Rhapsody streaming music services,
Roxio's Napster music download compatibility and integrated support
of Live365's streaming digital radio service. The critical component
here is the D-Link digital home access, Internet devices and standard-based
connectivity for consumer electronics. The D-Link digital home concept
is completely distributed throughout the home, so no single device
or PC controls everything. By allowing a powerful, flexible, feature-rich
D-Link Integrated Access Device to act as the primary access point
to the Internet, each component can exist in a peer to peer environment
yet have centralized control for security to the outside world.
D-Link extends wireless media solutions with
the introduction of the MediaLounge Portable Wireless Media Player
(DSM-220), allowing consumers to store and take with them up to
20 Gigabytes of music, video or pictures, or stream entertainment
content from the Internet or any PC connected to the network.
Adding to the existing home Consumer Electronic
storage device family founded by the D-Link Central Home Drive (DSM-604H),
D-Link will be showing the new MediaLounge Wireless Central Home
Drive (DSM-624H) and the all new MediaLounge Wireless Network Storage
Enclosure (DSM-G600), two new ways for creating, managing, storing,
and distributing content such as digital photos, digital audio and
personal video.
GamerLounge Gaming Solutions
Built exclusively for video gaming applications,
the new D-Link GamerLounge Wireless Router (DGL-4300) features D-Link
GameFuel technologies, a new intelligent packet processing engine
integrated directly on the router, giving online games precedence
for bandwidth over all other Internet applications, email and FTP
transfers. A demonstration of improved online game performance using
the D-Link GameFuel technologies will be on hand, using Vivendi
Universal Games' (VU Games) critically-acclaimed team-based online
first person action game, Tribes(R): Vengeance. The D-Link GamerLounge
wireless router is also the first router to brandish four 1000Mbps
Gigabit Ethernet ports with up to 108Mbps 802.11g wireless connectivity
for blazing fast LAN party and WLAN connections. Optimized for PC,
Xbox(TM) and PlayStation(R)2 games, the D-Link GamerLounge wireless
router provides gamers with increased control to maximize online
performance for the ultimate "no lag" gaming experience.
The GamerLounge family is further enhanced
with the creation of the GamerLounge Wireless Gaming Adapter (DGL-3420),
a tri-band wireless adapter that can wirelessly connect Xbox and
PlayStation 2 gaming consoles to the Internet for online gameplay.
Additionally, Xbox owners can configure the GamerLounge Wireless
Gaming Adapter directly from the Xbox gaming system, making installation
a simple and easy task.
Powerful Internet Security Cameras and Web
Cams
Based on last year's award-wining SecuriCam
family of Internet Cameras, D-Link will be unveiling the newest
in Internet security cameras with the D-Link SecuriCam Internet
Camera with 10X Optical/Digital Zoom (DCS-6620G). With features
such as Pan and Tilt, 10X optical and digital zoom, a Charge Coupled
Device (CCD) processor and fine ground glass lens and complete remote
control capability, the wireless and 802.11g wireless SecuriCam
Internet Cameras can produce live, high-quality streaming video
accessible from a web browser anywhere in the world. The new D-Link
SecuriCam Internet Cameras feature advanced CCD sensor technology
twice the size of the original and a glass lens to deliver clear,
crisp 640 x 480 resolution images even in areas of low light.

the latest D-Link VoIP gateway and hardware solutions. The live

Phone Service VoIP Router (DVG-1402S/L). AT&T's CallVantage phone
service is on hand, running its' nationwide calling plan through
the D-Link Internet Router/Telephone Adapter (DVG-1120). D-Link
has partnered with VoiceGlo to bring an alternative VoIP solution
to the market using the GloPhone Blue service. The service allows
consumers to make unlimited point-to-point VoIP calling through
a personal computer and the all-new D-Link USB Phone (DPH-10U).
