Niko offers Comfort at home or at the office (23/12/2004)

After the motion detector, Niko launches a new sensor in the comfort range: the presence detector, this detector is available in a 1-channel and a 2-channel version.

The 1-channel version (ref. 32-831-03) is designed to control interior lighting and is mounted on the ceiling. The integrated light sensor constantly measures the light level in the detection field and compares this with the pre-programmed measure on the LUX-button. The lighting is switched on when the light level measured drops under the pre-programmed level and the sensor detects activity. When leaving the detection field or staying motionless in the field, the lighting will be switched off after a preset delay. This 1-channel sensor can be easily mounted without a surface range and has a maximum load of 2330W (10A) incandescent lamp.

The 2-channel version (ref. 32-832-03) controls interior lighting in combination with a ventilator. The output of the ventilator is activated by motion, regardless the light circumstances. The 2-channel version has the same properties as the 1-channel version and has a maximum load of 690VA motor.

Both presence detectors have a detection angle of max. 360¡ and a circular detection field with a diameter of up to 20m. Thanks to a light-sensitivity of 10-1000LUX and detection field that is subdivided into 906 segments and 2 detection zones, these sensors are very sensitive.
