Airbee Announces Platform Independent ZigBee-Ready Network Software (20/12/2004)

On the heels of yesterday's official announcement of the release of the ZigBee(TM) Specification, Airbee Wireless, Inc. (Pink Sheets:ABEW), an industry innovator of intelligent software solutions for unwired voice, data and video networking, today announced networking software solutions that are designed to be fully compliant with the announced ZigBee standards. Airbee-ZNS and Airbee-ZMAC represent one of the industry's first hardware-independent software products. The Airbee-ZNS ZigBee-ready, scalable network software product has the ability to interface to any controller and any 802.15.4 radio solution. This breakthrough solution will be critical for low-cost ZigBee roll-outs in commercial and home automation markets.

"We have been working for more than two years to engineer products in accord with the newly released ZigBee specification," said Srini Krishnamurthy, vice president of business development for Airbee. "There is no question in our mind that ZigBee will quickly become the de facto wireless standard for remote monitoring, sensor and control applications in a multitude of vertical markets. We are intensely focused on supporting OEMs, integrators and silicon providers in unwiring life and enabling the ZigBee standards into products we all use today."

Airbee has recently demonstrated its ZigBee-ready software for monitoring, sensing and control applications. This important milestone of defining a global interoperable standard for wireless voice and data communications will unleash numerous commercial opportunities in many industries, including sensor based networking, building automation, automotive electronics, medical devices, and homeland security to name a few.
