Smartvue Earns Prestigious Innovations Award from 2005 Consumer Electronics Show (17/12/2004)

Recognition for Smartvue S2 Solution Solidifies Corporation's Status as Industry Leader

Smartvue, the world's technology leader in wireless digital video surveillance, announced today that its Smartvue S2 system has received a coveted 2005 International Consumer Electronics Show Innovations Design and Engineering Award, which will be presented January 4 at the annual show in Las Vegas.

Smartvue S2, which significantly reduces the complexity, cost and time required to install next generation Web-based video surveillance, has garnered attention in both security and IT industry circles for its innovative technologies and unmatched performance.

"Our smart, simple and secure wireless digital IP video solution offers rapid installation and the most advanced technologies in imaging, video compression, security and wireless communication - all wrapped up in a radical new design," said Martin Renkis, Founder and CEO of Smartvue Corporation. "This honor from the CES confirms our strategy to concentrate the benefits of our patent-pending technologies on what we have termed the global visual management industry, which extends well beyond the current surveillance and security industry."

The Smartvue S2 digital IP video surveillance solution includes the S2 Wireless DVR (digital video recorder) and the S2 Wireless Camera. Smartvue S2 uses state of the art H.264 and MJPEG video compression, extreme range 802.11n (pre-standard) wireless communications and ultra-wide dynamic range imaging as well as advanced security technologies.

Smartvue S2 is currently available to Smartvue strategic partners and will be available to the general public in February 2005 through select resellers and distributors. Smartvue Corporation has more than a dozen patents either granted or pending on its technologies.
