Improved Performance at an Affordable Price Introducing the Mission m3i series (13/12/2004)

Mission, the Great British loudspeaker manufacturer renowned worldwide for its leading edge design and craftsmanship of quality audio products, announces the launch of the m3i series.

Mission's new m3i series, (the 'i' stands for 'improved), draws on research carried out by Mission's engineers on its flagship speaker Pilastro. Analysis of Pilastro's curved shape led to a better understanding of baffle diffraction and its audible effects, enabling Mission to evolve a new series of crossover designs for its highly acclaimed Elegante range.

Now applied to the m3i series, this new crossover technique takes into account the baffle diffraction effect to give a more open and detailed midrange performance, with superior integration between the drive units for smoother treble output. In addition crossovers are now wired to drive units using Mission's special HP-OFC (High Purity Oxygen Free Copper) cable with its dedicated bass and treble formulations.

The result is that all the speakers in the m3i range, whether used in a stereo or home theatre system, exhibit a lively and musical performance with enhanced rhythm and timing.

The improved series features a miniature bookshelf, two stylish stand-mount, and three elegant floorstanding loudspeakers, plus a range of other products that combine to recreate a home theatre experience. The m3i series will be available in a choice of three finishes - Graphite Black, Beech or Cherry.

Like its predecessor the m3i series features a driver system which Mission designates its DiaDrive bass unit. Combining the best attributes of soft fibre and high rigidity cones in one multi-layer diaphragm, the result is remarkable bass coupled with harmonious natural midrange performance.

To match the remarkable attributes of the DiaDrive bass driver, an ultra-light, Viotex fabric dome treble unit reproduces high frequencies with exceptionally wide dynamic range and finesse. An extended response to beyond 30kHz is just one indication of the speed of response from this unit.

All speakers in the m3i series are magnetically shielded which makes them suitable for those who enjoy their films as much as their music.

The Mission m3i series will be distributed in the UK by Veda and will be available in all other international markets.
