Inition introduces the latest arrival from Sharp's 3D stable - the LL-151-3D (26/11/2004)

Revisiting and refining technology first introduced in the RD3D, the world's first autostereo 3D notebook, the LL-151-3D is the first standalone display from Sharp to incorporate 3D LCD technology.

The LL-151-3D is unique in boasting both functionality and form. 15 inches of sleek ergonomic design - with clean lines, a narrow frame and adjustable height - it also delivers 3D images that are cutting-edge crisp, clear and projected through a parallax barrier straight to the naked eye.

A gifted multi-tasker the LL-151-3D switches effortlessly between 2D and 3D display mode for applications like word processing, spreadsheets and e-mail. In 3D mode its 15-inch XGA (1024x768) LCD display allows a viewing clarity in which bright, clear pictures can be seen in fine detail. 370-nit brightness and 500:1 contrast ratio means the visual performance of the LL-151-3D is exceptional, whether you are a chemist visualising molecular structures, an innovative games developer or a surgeon preparing for complex neurosurgery.

The applications of the LL-151-3D are limitless. Not just within the fields of drug discovery, medical imaging, mapping/GIS, oil & gas or CAD, but also within the worlds of entertainment, education, leisure and game programming. The UK market has been waiting for a high function, intuitively designed, budget friendly monitor to progress its 3D usability. And the LL-151-3D answers that demand - in stereo. "The fourth wave of LCD technology is here' says John Anderson, Senior Sales Manager for LCD Monitors at Sharp. "The LL-151-3D display provides users with crisp 3D visualisation, and the ability to add a level of visual interaction to their applications that has been previously very cumbersome to attain."

Available to buy from now at £995 (excl VAT).
