HAL Gives Voice to New Powerline Control! (25/11/2004)

Home Automated Living (HAL) publisher of award winning natural speech home control software products including HAL2000, HALdeluxe and HALpro, announces support for home control hardware operating on the newly developed, highly reliable Universal Powerline Bus (UPB).

HAL is partnering with home automation hardware manufacturer Simply Automated to provide HAL's popular software interface for the UPB lighting and device control products made by Simply Automated.

"HAL is very excited about Simply Automated's UPB product line, " HAL President Tim Shriver commented. " We believe UPB raises powerline communication to new level of reliability. HAL software in conjunction with Simply Automated hardware will provide a very appealing solution to the growing consumer market for smart home technology."

"Our customers need reliable products that are not only easy to install, but simple to use" says Simply Automated President and CTO Frederick Kiko. "Our line of UPB controllers and modules offer unprecedented reliability above and beyond that of any powerline predecessor. We are proud to partner with HAL to provide a solution for home automation that offers simplicity of operation without limiting the user's imagination."

HAL communicates with Simply Automated dimmer switches and lamp/appliance modules over the existing power lines in the home. HAL software products give users the ability to fully automate their homes using schedules, house modes, house scenes and all of the features found in high end automation systems. HAL users can control their homes via the Web or by voice via any phone anywhere to control lights, devices, appliances, thermostat, home theatre, security, telephone and Internet with normal, conversational speech. The HAL Digital Music Center (HALdmc) extends voice control to your entire music collection.
