Samsung Honoured With Ten CES 2005 Innovation Awards (23/11/2004)

Samsung Electronics, the world's fastest growing consumer electronics brand, has been honored with ten International CES Innovations 2005 Design and Engineering Showcase Awards, it was announced today. Samsung's award-winning products include five HDTVs and a Home Theater in a Box system in the Home Theater category; two digital audio players and Samsung's advanced Portable Media Center in the Portable Audio category; and a High-Definition Conversion DVD Player in the Accessories category. Samsung's Innovations 2005 honorees will be on display during the 2005 International CES, January 6-9, in the Samsung booth (#11024) in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, as well as in the Innovations Pavilion.

Now in its seventh year, the Innovations Awards recognize consumer technology products that exhibit excellence in design and engineering. Journalists, engineers, industrial designers and industry experts make product evaluations; the awards are based on several criteria including value, aesthetics, innovation and contribution to quality of life. Sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) with the endorsement of the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), these awards have become an industry standard in honoring the best technology of today.
