Discard All Your Old Remotes And Replace With The Universal T2+ (18/11/2004)

RTI has introduced an affordable and powerful Universal System Controller that will operate as a stand-alone, user friendly remote control or, with additional products will become a robust high-end professional control system.

The T2+ is the second generation of RTIâs ground breaking remote controls. New improved features include a USB port, 50% more memory and the latest Lithium-Polymer battery technology. The controller maintains the perfect balance between touch-screen and hard buttons. The new design is slimmer, lighter and has improved ergonomics for one hand operation. Sleek and perfectly balanced, the T2+ is also infinitely flexible and expandable.

The T2+ takes complete control of the home cinema, distributed audio systems, blinds, projection screen and lighting control - replacing all other remotes. It features an intuitive, easy-to-read LCD which displays custom buttons, text, graphics and scrolling lists. Programming is simple and can either be supplied pre-programmed by the installer or consumers can program the T2+ directly connecting the controller via its Windows based Theater-Touch Designer Software.

Unlike other remotes available, the T2+ includes a charger and all programmes are stored in its non-volatile memory.

Coupled with additional RTI products, home cinema installers can create a truly automated control system at less than £1000. There are currently no other products in this market at this price range that can do so much.

RP-6 Remote Control Processor: provides advanced control and automation of any size home cinema system. Unlike simple IR-to-RF converters, the RP-6 stores all of the systemâs commands where they should be within a central controller at the equipment rack.

SPS-1 Video Sync Power Sensor: monitors the on and off status of most video components and provides power status information to RTI control systems, without the need of additional power supply.

CM-232 Serial Communication Module: provides RS-232 interface to almost any RS-232 enabled device. It attaches to an RTI control system on one end and a DB-9 serial port connector to the other.

VPS-1 Voltage Power Sensor: monitors the on and off status of most electronic components. It connects to the output ports of the RTI control system and provides it with power status information.

Several new and exciting products are scheduled to be released in the New Year including a waterproof controller ideal to use in the bathroom. It is completely sealed so in addition to being waterproof, it floats (an interesting alternative to ducks in the bath!).
