New Naim i-SUPPLY reduces cost of playing LPs (15/11/2004)
i-SUPPLY can also provide regulated power to iPod*
or Headline
The new, linear, Naim i-SUPPLY was conceived and
designed to deliver very low-noise regulated 24V power to the Naim
Stageline phono preamplifier at a lower price than existing Naim
power supplies.
The target customer for an i-SUPPLY is an
owner of the award-winning Nait 5i integrated amplifier, an owner
of any amplifier without a phono stage, an owner of an iPod or a
customer adding high quality headphone replay to his system.
The i-SUPPLY is available now, in three versions,
at a cost of £85:
s - to power the Naim Stageline phono preamplifier
h - to power Naimās high quality headphone amplifier
i - to power or charge an iPod*
Depending on the chosen i-SUPPLY, various
adapters are available to allow alternative units to be powered:
for example if a Naim i-SUPPLY s is owned, an adapter can be purchased
to power a Headline.
Naim pioneered the use of separate, remotely
located power supplies, minimizing supply noise for sensitive hi-fi
components, such as phono preamplifiers, and the latest i-SUPPLY
is an evolution of these concepts.
