Already a classic design: Loewe presents Spheros R 37 Masterpiece (29/10/2004)

Exciting design, excellent picture quality and best-in-class technology characterise Loewe's new Spheros R 37 Masterpiece LCD TV. Already hailed as a design classic, the latest technological innovation from Kronach is the flagship LCD model in the Loewe range.

The state-of-the-art LCD panel featuring high-definition display (1366 x 968 pixels) guarantees the Spheros R 37 Masterpiece brilliant picture quality and superior detail accuracy. The clean lines and continuous design of the front with tinted glass, the combination of fine materials and the exclusive workmanship place this extravagant Loewe in a class of its own.

With a 94-centimetre (37") visible screen diagonal, Spheros R 37 Masterpiece is a sculpturesque stand unit, establishing Loewe as a trendsetter in technology with outstanding design competence.

Loewe picture standards ensure optimal picture quality

The technology delivers what the extraordinary design promises. Loewe MediaPlus HD technology with digital signal processing and high-end converter provide enhanced depth of focus and sharpness of detail. The result is a picture completely flicker and distortion free to the human eye. Loewe's own picture improvement technology ensures that movements are displayed without the annoying stair-step effect and prevents artificial shadows. Forward-facing connection standards such as Digital Visual Interface (DVI) and the copy protect standard HDCP mean that Spheros R 37 is already prepared for the digital future - simply connect a set-top box for HDTV reception.

Intelligent function upgrades

The Spheros R 37 Masterpiece features intelligent functions such as Digital RecorderPlus, for deferred viewing with a 100-hour recording capacity, the Digital PhotoViewer for digital slideshows and Dolby Digital for fascinating surround sound. As with all Loewe MediaPlus upgrades, customers can choose to expand their TV's capabilities by adding further upgrades, such as Loewe Online Plus for Internet access on the large-TV screen.

On-board electronics

Spheros R 37 Masterpiece electronics are concealed in the rear panel, guaranteeing easy access when connecting peripherals such as Loewe's sound system, Concertos. All functions are easy to operate with the Loewe RC 3 system remote control which can also be used as a universal remote control thanks to an integrated code database.

Available from November, the Spheros R 37 Masterpiece incorporates a motorised rotation function with aluminium base and is priced around £5,800.
