Wyrewizard is a New Sub Brand of cables, designed and manufactured in the USA by Nordost, to offer high levels of performance at a competitive price. The New Sub Brand will be unveiled at the Hi-fi Show Heathrow 24th-26th September 2004.

The Wyrewizard brand has been developed using Nordost's own proprietary FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene) extrusion technology for the first time in a series of round cables, using a conventional twist configuration with dual layer shielding on the interconnects.

Wyrewizard has been designed for a broad market appeal offering major advantages over conventional cable construction, with improved frequency response and tighter bass control for exceptional musicality and performance; ideally suited to a wide range of both Audio and A/V, prices start at £ 5.50 per metre for the Spellbinder speaker cable and £69.95, for the matching one metre interconnect.

The Wyrewizard brand consists of five products in total, offering three round analogue interconnects: Spellbinder, Dreamcaster, and Enchantress. The range also features two round loudspeaker cables: Spellbinder and the bi-wired Dreamcaster.

Interconnect

Wyrewizard Spellbinder interconnect consists of 2 twisted, solid core, 7N OFC conductors which are silver-plated and insulated with extruded FEP and shielded. Each of the interconnects features a dual layered shielding and are terminated using silver solder. All interconnects use high quality gold plated Neutrik RCA connectors.

Wyrewizard Spellbinder has a suggested retail inc. vat of £69.95, for a 1.0 metre pair.

Wyrewizard Dreamcaster interconnect utilizes 4 twisted, silver-plated, solid core 7N OFC conductors which are insulated with extruded FEP and shielded. Dreamcaster has a suggested retail price inc. vat of £94.95, for a 1.0 metre pair.

Wyrewizard Enchantress utilizes 8 twisted, silver-plated, 7N OFC solid core conductors each insulated with extruded FEP and shielded. Enchantress has a suggested retail price inc. vat of £114.95, for a 1.0 metre pair.

Loudspeaker cable

Wyrewizard Spellbinder speaker cable is a twisted pair of 2 solid cores using 7N OFC conductors, which are silver-plated and insulated using extruded FEP. Available off the reel for custom termination by the retailer. Spellbinder speaker cable has a suggested retail price inc. vat of £5.50 per metre.

Wyrewizard Dreamcaster speaker cable consists of two twisted pairs made from 4 solid cores using 7N OFC, which is silver-plated and insulated using extruded FEP. Dreamcaster speaker cable can be used in a bi-wire or bi-amp configuration and has a suggested retail price inc. vat of £11.00 per metre. Both loudspeaker cables are available on a 61- metre (200ft) reel for custom termination by the retailer.

Insulation: Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene ( FEP ) Construction: Extruded FEP over Solid Core, Silver-Plated 7N OFC. Conductors: x8 Capacitance: 36pF/ft. Inductance: 0.06uH/ft. DC Resistance: 6.4 Ohms per 1000ft/304metres as terminated. Overall Shield Coverage: 95% Braid.
