This plasma display will feature high-definition native resolution
and a 16:9 aspect ratio for crystal-clear video reproduction, all

latest enhancements, Runco's line of plasmas and plasma packages
achieves unparalleled breadth and performance.
"As home video entertainment evolves toward
becoming a purely digital application, Runco engineers continually
develop new technology to best utilize the advantages of digital
imaging," said Bob Hana, president of Runco International. "With
our newest additions, the Runco plasma family represents the home
video industry's most impressive collection. Now that we incorporate

As part of Runco's four new plasma packages,
the DHD Digital Video Controller is programmed to specifically enhance
the individual plasma with which it is being packaged. The Controller
utilizes Runco's proprietary ViVix II digital processing to enhance
all standard and HDTV source material for maximum clarity and precision.
Its VirtualWide(tm) feature converts 4:3 images for maximum clarity
on partner 16:9 plasma panels. The DHD Digital Video Controller
also features Orthogonal Line Correction to adjust for unwanted
time-elapsed field artifacts as well as 3:2 and 2:2 pull-down for
maximum quality playback from film-originated programming. Each
plasma and DHD Controller in the four new packages features Runco's
streamlined industrial design, which seamlessly incorporates into
any home theater environment.
Runco's newest plasma, the CW-42HD will feature
1024 x 768 native resolution and a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio
to ensure maximize clarity when displaying high-definition programming.
At less than five inches deep, the plasma will make a striking centerpiece
for any high-end home theater. With the addition of the CW-42HD,
Runco now offers ten varieties of plasma, each representing the
combined expertise of Runco's research and development team, and
a peerless achievement in home video entertainment quality.
