NetStreams Releases New Musica Keypad With Integrated
FM Tuner Offering FM Tuner Capability with Station Variety at the
User's Fingertips in Each Room (1/9/2004)
NetStreams, the leader in IP-based Networked Audio/Video
distribution, continues to redefine the distributed audio marketplace
as it announces the new MU4602KP50-FM - the industry's first ever
in-wall keypad with an integrated FM Tuner (patent pending) as part
of its Musica line. The easy-to-install audio distribution system,
which delivers superior sound and highly interactive keypads, can
now play selected FM radio stations in separate rooms, adding to
the versatility and practicality of the Musica line.
"This new Musica MU4602KP50-FM keypad is
compatible with the NetStreams Musica Audio Distribution System,
allowing installers the flexibility of adding separate local FM
tuners to one, two or all rooms in a system," said Herman Cardenas,
NetStreams founder and chief executive officer. "By integrating
an FM tuner into the keypad, consumers can now enjoy different stations
in each room of their distributed audio system-and NetStreams is
the first to make this technology available."
The MU4602KP50-FM keypad includes an integrated
50 watt/channel digital amplifier and 96 kHz / 24-bit Burr Brown(r)
Digital to Analog Converters for maximum audio fidelity. Control
of the Musica System is intuitive and easy with large, soft touch
buttons and an LCD screen. Faceplate color options of white, almond,
ivory or black allow the MU4602KP50-FM to unobtrusively integrate
with a user's interior design.
The MU4602KP50-FM keypad is slanted to ship
in September. Additionally, the keypad features a hook up for an
FM antenna, which mounts in between studs during installation. This
is an innovative and exciting addition to the Musica MU4602 line
that began shipping in April.
NetStreams' Musica MU4602 Audio Distribution
System is designed to deliver superior audio performance and features
interactive keypads that are very easy to install and operate. The
advanced design of the Musica MU4602 places digital amplifiers in
each room, behind each keypad, rather than in one central location.
This improves sound quality by reducing noise, distortion and power
losses as well as increasing reliability and simplifying the installation.
Optional FM tuner keypads allow every room an independent selection
of radio stations.
The Musica System's Audio Ports are highly
flexible allowing the output of the distributed audio to be coupled
with a powered subwoofer or external amplifier, if so desired, as
well as the input of a "local source" such as a TV monitor or cable
box. The system will handle one local source per keypad/amplifier.
Musica is capable of playing up to four different sources independently;
distributing the sources to as many as 6 rooms per Audio Distribution
Center (ADC). With additional ADC's the system can expand to 18
rooms of audio.
