RTI Releases TheaterTouch Designer 2.0 Software (13/8/2004)
The Latest Version of RTI's TheaterTouch Designer
Software Allows Installers to Easily Program Systems Using the T1,
T2+, and RP-6 Products
Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI), the leader
in innovative home control solutions, announced today the release
of its latest version of the company's TheaterTouch Designer programming
software. The software upgrade supports the new TheaterTouch T1
and T2+ universal system controllers, and the RP-6 remote control
processor. It also provides support for capturing IR codes with
the new IR-PRO Professional Infrared Capture System.
"We are very excited to introduce our new
TheaterTouch Designer software along with our new product line-up
and service enhancements," said Pete Baker, director of sales and
marketing for RTI. "We're committed to providing easy to use and
easy to program solutions for our installer-centered home control
products. The new software upgrade coupled with the introduction
of our new control products and our website revamp, are clear indicators
of our increased dealer support."
RTI has recently introduced the new version
of the company's flagship remote control. The TheaterTouch T2+ features
improved ergonomics and additional hard buttons for transport function
control. The new T2+ also offers 50% more memory, a lithium polymer
battery, and a convenient new docking station. A button only version
of the T2+ touchscreen remote control, TheaterTouch(TM) T1 was also
introduced. It offers the same programming features as the T2+ at
a price point that will fit comfortably within every budget. The
T1 offers the perfect assortment of buttons to control the functions
of today's home theaters. The T1 also has eight source and four
function buttons that can be customized with supplied keycaps.
The RP-6 Remote Control Processor offering
custom installers superior performance for home theater control
also made its debut. The RP-6 is designed to store all of the commands
for system control within its memory. The commands can then be triggered
with IR or RF by one of the RTI Universal System Controllers. The
RP-6 also offers IR pass-through, three programmable relays and
six addressable multi-purpose I/O ports. The multi-purpose I/O ports
can be used to route outgoing IR signals or for power sensing and
RS-232 control with separate control accessories available from
RTI.
TheaterTouch Designer 2.0 software also provides
support for capturing IR codes with the new IR-PRO Professional
Infrared Capture System. The IR-PRO embodies all of the knowledge
that RTI has accumulated over the past decade about IR codes, and
it can reliably capture almost any infrared code regardless of code
format, frequency, output strength, battery condition, alignment
position, location of infrared emitter.
