Would you credit it - Steljes Trade come up with another way of supporting their resellers! (30/7/2004)

Leading AV Distributor Steljes Trade, has today announced the launch of a service to provide their resellers with the facility to look at their own exposure. Steljes will do this by providing resellers with access to credit ratings and financial information about potential customers free of charge.

All of the information will be available on a website called www.steljescredit.com will allow detailed reporting detailed reporting at the touch of a button. The initiative will help resellers to reduce the potential of bad debt, calculate how much credit should safely be extended to customers and ultimately improve good sales opportunities.

The information available through the Steljes site will be provided by credit and financial data providers Credit Assist who have access to information on over 4m UK companies both incorporated and unincorporated. The information provided by Credit Assist through the Steljes site is simple to use and available 24 hours.

The reports available through this service normally cost up to £33 each, in this case though this service will be available Free of Charge to Steljes Resellers who agree a business plan with the distributor. Resellers will then be allocated a number of points to use for searches as and when they need to.

We are very aware that businesses in our industry are operating in times of great financial pressure. We have unfortunately seen resellers and distributors come and go in the AV market place. This scheme is part of Steljes ongoing commitment to supporting resellers with whatever products and services they require to be successful".
