Beyerdynamic to distribute WHD systems (16/7/2004)
Beyerdynamic have just confirmed an exclusive
distribution deal for the UK & Eire with the German loudspeaker
company WHD. The Wilhelm Huber & Sšhne company, based in Deisslingen,
have built up a reputation for technical excellence and quality
over its 70 year history of design and manufacturing. Major projects
for them have included the John F. Kennedy Airport in New York and
the Federal Chancellor's Office in Berlin.
"We have seen strong expansion in the professional
and home Installation market this year" says beyerdynamic's John
Midgley, "and we are constantly looking for products that fit vertically
into the portfolio. WHD's range of speakers, together with their
new DAM system (Digital Audio Multi-Room), will sit very nicely
alongside the products we handle".

WHD Loudspeakers offer an extensive selection
of wall and ceiling speakers, including a surround sound range with
sub woofer, available in a choice of colours, and their custom design
speaker range which includes unique features, such as lighting elements
mounted in the speaker chassis, while the aptly named 'Rock' speakers
actually look like rocks.
The aforementioned DAM system (Digital Audio
Multi-Room) offers the solution of audio delivery into any enviroment,
whether its the home or the workplace. The DAM system accepts 6
inputs with can be sent to an amazing 254 targeted zones (rooms
or areas) via a singe CAT5 cable. Completely controlled by individual
room wall mounted keypads or Infra-red remotes, the DAM 6000 is
affordable and easy to use.
