RTI's T1 Universal Handheld Remote Puts Total Control
at the Fingertips (13/7/2004)
Powerful Universal System Controller Fits Within
Every Budget
Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI), the leader
in innovative home control solutions, announced the release of its
powerful new T1 Universal System Controller. This sophisticated
handheld remote gives the consumer complete and intuitive control
over their home theaters, as well as multi-room audio, and more
all with little to no operating instruction. Scheduled for release
this summer, the T1 (MSRP: $299) will be available to custom installers
nationwide through AVAD's distribution network.
"The T1 Universal System Controller is exceptionally
easy to use and highly affordable, making it one of our most accessible
universal controllers ever," said Pete Baker, director of sales
at RTI. "Installers can easily integrate all functions of their
customer's home entertainment system into one easy-to-use remote,
providing them an affordable and intuitive control solution that
adds tremendous value to every job. We think installers will find
the T1's versatility second-to-none."
The T1 Universal System Controller features
eight source and four general-purpose buttons with interchangeable
keycaps, plus 38 fully programmable, macro-assignable keypad buttons.
Their intuitive layout eliminates the frustrating button hunt that
plagues use of many universal remotes. Plus, the T1 measures at
an incredibly thin 1.1 inches, and weighs just 7 ounces, making
access to the entire remote comfortable and easy to navigate. The
T1 provides extremely wide IR transmission.
The T1 was designed as a complete solution
for controlling any size audio/video system, but when combined with
RTI's family of control accessories and standard IR emitters, it
becomes the key to a professional grade control system. The RP-6
Remote Processor, optional video and voltage-sensing modules, and
RS-232 interface give installers freedom to tailor a precise control
system over any number of rooms.
RTI has taken the drudgery out of programming
functions with its Windows(r)-based TheaterTouch(tm) Designer Software.
The field-upgradeable software has been perfected over a decade
to be the simplest and most complete programming interface available.
It operates on any PC and lets installers create, store, and drag
and drop macros, IR codes, and bitmaps-testing designs right on
screen-for repeatable and reliable results every time.
The T1's non-volatile Flash memory means
system configurations stay in tact even when battery power is gone.
The T1 includes a Lithium-Polymer battery and docking station. Batteries
charge in 4 hours, boast a 30-day stand-by, minimum continuous run-time
of 20 hours, and an average run time of 15 days under normal use.
