The world's finest audio system for your bath (25/6/2004)

Leading AV distributor Anders+Kern is making a splash with the new RhythmBath by Amina Technologies.

The ultimate bath time relaxation experience, Rhythmbath creates music from your bath, jacuzzi, hot tub, whirlpool or shower; the Rhythmbath system turns any acrylic bath into a refined audio loudspeaker!

Working on the same principle as a musical instrument such as the acoustic guitar, the whole body of the acrylic bath is made to vibrate very slightly by a patented electro-acoustic excitation device attached to the underside of the existing or new acrylic bath. Just like the body of a violin, those vibrations create an enormously powerful, accurate and natural sound source.

The excitation device is identical in electrical characteristic to a conventional loudspeaker. Therefore the Rhythmbath is simply connected to any standard audio amplifier and source (via a multi-room audio system, or perhaps local amplifier and CD Walkman/MP3 player). When fitted the product is completely unseen, is completely hygienic, needs no cleaning or maintenance, is completely safe and has no structural effect on the bath itself. An optional Touchpad Controller allows you to make audio adjustments instantly.

For home or commercial use, Rhythmbath is ideal for home renovators, homebuilders, architects, and interior designers wishing to create the ultimate bath time experience. Rhythmbathú is used independently, or can be fully integrated with a sophisticated multi-room audio system.
