Comm-tec introduces the RTI TheaterTouch System range of Home Theatre Control Products to the UK (8/6/2004)

Designed for the Connoisseur these products bring a new element of control to the Home Theatre Environment. TheaterTouchTM is not just a universal remote control it is a complete control system capable of both infra-red and radio frequency transmission, power sensing for reliable operation and RS-232 communications for advanced control.

The T1 Universal System Controller provides the perfect selection of buttons to operate today's sophisticated Home Theatres. It is the ideal solution to enable easy control of any media system, no matter how complex, at an affordable price. When used with RTI's available accessories the T1 becomes an intelligent and powerful control system.

The T2+ Universal System Controller is the second generation of RTI's ground breaking remote control. It maintains the hybrid touch screen concept while adding extra buttons and improved ergonomics. New firmware provide enhanced programming capabilities while hardware improvements include a USB port, 50% more memory and the latest Lithium-Polymer battery technology.

The T2+ is the foundation of a very powerful, yet uncomplicated home theatre control system. On its own the T2+ is the most user friendly universal controller available. Combined with the other TheaterTouchTM products the T2+ becomes a robust commercial-quality control system.

The RP-6 Remote Control Processor is an advanced control system for RTI's family of universal remote controls. Unlike simple IR-to-RF converters, the RP-6 stores all of the system’s commands where they should be - within a central controller at the equipment rack. The RP-6 receives trigger codes from the RTI remote controls using external IR or RF receivers. Multiple receivers can be used together for a greater coverage allowing you to discover a new freedom - reliable control of the entertainment system from just about anywhere.

Accessories include the VPS-1 Voltage Power Sensor which monitors the true 'on' and 'off' status of nearly any electronic component, the SPS-1 Video Sync Power Sensor which monitors the true 'on' and 'off' status of nearly any video component connected to the system. Also available is the CM-232 Communication Module which makes it possible to control RS-232 enabled devices through the RTI System Interface Module or Remote Control Processor. The RM-433 RF Receiver Module can be added to an RP-6 Remote Control Processor for powerful and reliable RF control of any system.
