HomeWorks 4 Series - Lutron's New Suite Of Products
For Midsize Lighting Control Applications (8/6/2004)
Lutron's HomeWorks 4 Series system provides a
lighting control solution tailored to fit small to midsize applications.
HomeWorks keypads are used with local dimming components and a new
4 Series processor to provide a complete solution. Now, HomeWorks
whole-home lighting control is available for a new range of customers.
The HomeWorks 4 Series control panel uses
a 230V feed to power the 4 Series processor and connected keypads.
The 4 Series processor works with HomeWorks keypads, Maestro local
lighting controls and Grafik Eye Units and/or Lutron's new Wallbox
Power Modules (WPM's). The control panel is a compact unit (38.5cm
x 61cm) that can easily be concealed in any small to midsize property.
John Niebel, Lutron's UK sales director for
Residential Systems, says: "The HomeWorks 4 Series is a flexible
system designed for small to medium sized properties. It can be
integrated with a number of Lutron products depending on user requirements.
Our Maestro Local Lighting Controls, for example, provide dimming
and switching of individual lighting zones and are ideal for halls,
bathrooms and children's rooms where simple operation is required."
To eliminate wall clutter, HomeWorks keypads
can be used to control the Wallbox Power Modules. Available in many
colours, styles and button configurations, HomeWorks keypads provide
simple control of lights in one room or throughout the home. Each
button may be configured to control and monitor any device in the
HomeWorks system including lights, shades and other home systems.
Wallbox Power Modules provide a flexible
remote dimming solution whereby modules can be mounted in hidden
locations near the rooms being controlled. Wallbox Power Modules
provide 6 zones of dimming in a cost-effective compact size, allowing
them to be mounted in places where larger dimming panels cannot
be placed.
Newly built properties that have Lutron's
European Developer's Box installed, will be 'future-proof' so that
HomeWorks 4 Series, along with Lutron's larger HomeWorks systems,
may be retro-fitted at a later time.
