JVC announces CinePro and CineClear rear projection
screens (7/6/2004)
JVC Professional announces the CinePro and CineClear
range of rear projection screens, which JVC professional is distributing
throughout Europe. The screens special quality is that they can
be mounted "in air" in high ambient light and still provide a high
level of contrast.
The CinePro screens differentiate themselves
from the mainstream rear projection screens, with their ability
to show high quality, high contrast images without the shrouding
or encasement normally needed to avoid ambient light. At first glance,
the CinePro Super High Contrast screen appears almost black; that
is until projected upon. The resulting image is rendered with a
tonal contrast range unprecedented in rear projection. Blacks are
truly black and whites are white, creating vibrant, accurate pictures.
With a range of 4:3 and 16:9 format rigid
screens, from 50" to 200" diagonal, the line-up of optical acrylic
panels offer a wide range of installation possibilities. All of
the screens enable a wide viewing angle of up to 170o, so that (i)
audience spread can be maximised and (ii) picture visibility is
exceptional no matter what the angle of approach by the viewer to
the front of the screen. This makes them ideal for areas where there
is high pedestrian "traffic" flow.
There is a choice of five different types
of optical acrylic, single element panel, each with its own preferred
application. For flexibility of installation, they can be either
suspended from a ceiling or floor-mounted in a frame.
The CineClear screen is completely transparent
and yet can display standard images from a single projector to create
an apparent 3-D image. This transparent screen panel is best suited
to retail displays, hotel foyers, exhibitions, theme parks etc.
It is a lightweight, transparent, rear projection screen with clear
refractive optical particles that are sealed in a water-clear matrix.
The CinePro range comes with 3 different
opaque coatings, CinePro, CinePro HC (High Contrast) and CinePro
Super HC where the contrast level can be optimised according to
the ambient light resulting in bright, vivid images with excellent
colour fidelity.
In the same CinePro family is CinePro Flight
which has been developed specifically for flight simulation screens,
where picture sharpness, image definition and colour fidelity are
absolutely essential.
Bob Harris, sales manager Ð presentation
products comments "We are very excited about this latest addition
to our extensive presentation range. Typical environments for the
application of CinePro include military and simulation, security,
home cinema, HDTV theatres, electronic cinemas, 3 D imaging, board
& conference rooms, preview theatres to commercial distribution,
retail window displays, and exhibition display panels."
