JVC sets new display standards for the Home Cinema
market (7/6/2004)
JVC Professional featured the widescreen DLA-HX1
3-chip D-ILATM Home Cinema projector on Marata's stand at CEDIA
Expo 2004.
Incorporating the same 3-chip D-ILA technology
used by professionals in the motion picture industry for screening
and critical colour analysis, JVC's DLA-HX1 renders rich colour
and high contrast images in a 16:9 aspect ratio with 1400 x 788
resolution. Screenings are flicker-free (no "rainbow effect") and
images so smooth and natural it's the closest yet to reproducing
film-like quality in the home.
The DLA-HX1 has standard video and RGB/component
inputs plus DVI-D input (with HDCP decoding) making it compatible
with all current analogue and digital formats including HDTV.
"The DLA-HX1 is our first projector
for the Home Cinema market" says Bob Harris, JVC Professional's
Sales Manager for presentation products "but we have been able
to draw on years of experience within the broadcast and motion picture
industries when designing this unit."
Hot on the heels of the DLA-HX1 and being
previewed for the first time in the UK at CEDIA Expo, was the DLA-HD2K
High Definition D-ILA projector from JVC. The DLA-HD2K projector
has full 1080p HDTV (1920 x 1080) resolution and is destined to
set a new standard for home cinema projectors when it is released
during Q3, 2004.
