RGB SmartHome and Partners in force at CEDIA EXPO 2004 (1/6/2004)

RGB SmartHome, RGB Communication's specialist division that services the needs of residential audio visual dealers and custom installers, has come in force to Cedia Expo 2004. Not only do they have two stands at this year's Expo with many new products on show but they are also supporting two of their major partners, AMX UK Ltd and Middle Atlantic Products, who both have a major presence at the show.

SmartHome's main presence within the exhibition halls is on stand F6 in the gallery area of Hall 3, where they feature the Action! series of DLP home cinema projectors from specialist Norwegian manufacturer, projectiondesign. projectiondesign have rapidly established a reputation as a major force in the home cinema marketplace with their passion for projection and quality that has resulted in the award winning Action! series. On show for the very first time in the United Kingdom is the new Action! model one mk II, featuring a 7-segment, 5 x colour wheel, Faroudja' video processing, pure glass optics and HD2+ DLP' technology from Texas Instruments. This unique package delivers an immense 3000:1 contrast ratio, continuously adjustable brightness to fit almost any screen size together with very low operating noise levels of 28 dB (A). The entry level Action! model zero five from the same award-winning stable of Action! projectors is also on show.

SmartHome are also exhibiting a whole raft of new products on board RiGsBy, their audio visual industry unique demonstration and training vehicle, which is located in Centenary Square at the front entrance to the International Conference Centre. Recently refurbished, RiGsBy now features Middle Atlantic Product's unique rotating sliding rail rack system, the SRSR Series, as well as the award winning Modero touch panels from AMX. Lutron lighting controls, Extron signal scaling and switching equipment and ClearOne installed audio conferencing equipment also come together in a truly integrated demonstration package on board RiGsBy.

RGB SmartHome are also working in close support of key partners AMX UK Ltd and Middle Atlantic Products. RGB Communications were appointed early in the New Year as sole distributor in the UK and Southern Ireland of the Middle Atlantic Product range of rackmounting solutions. As well as the SRSR Series, Middle Atlantic Products will be demonstrating the AXS Series of slide out rack systems, which allow entire bays of equipment to be installed flush into walls or joinery and roll out for service and installation. Superior aesthetics, time and labour savings and advanced thermal and cable management of electronic systems in the home are all benefits afforded by rackmount solutions from Middle Atlantic Products.

The MAX Integrated Content Servers and Modero family of Touch Panels will take pride of place on AMX's stand this year. The MAX MultiMedia Server (MMS) is the industry's first content server capable storing both DVDs and CDs, whilst the MAX Integrated Music Server (IMS) is perfect for audio distribution systems of any size. MAX knows only one way to achieve the best possible video and audio Ð through native DVD and CD quality Ð capturing the depth, dynamics and sharpness of the original video and the highest standard of sound possible.

The new 802.11G Wireless Access Point (NXA-WAP200G) will also be on show. Designed to create fast, flexible and highly secure wireless networks in business or at home, this WAP is fully compatible with the IEEE 802.11b frequency band and forward compatible with 802.11g for future expandability of new and existing wireless networks and will support any AMX Modero Touch Panel.
