Harmony Remote launches H655 Internet- Powered Universal
Remote Control at CEDIA Expo 2004 (1/6/2004)
Universal Remote Control H655 offers direct access
Activity Buttons, integrates up to 15 components and is compatible
with SKY.
Intrigue Technologies, a leader in intelligent
remote control technology will unveil their latest handheld device,
the Harmony H655 Universal Remote during CEDIA Expo 2004, at the
ICC in Birmingham from June2-4th, 2004.
Intrigue Technologies has pioneered a new
type of intelligence - Smart State Technology which achieves the
goal of remote control design by removing the barrier that exists
between the average family and their entertainment system.
Offering a sleek and intuitive design, the
H655 integrates up to 15 components, is teletext ready, boasts a
fully backlit keypad, interactive display and is compatible with
SKY.
While all other universal remote controls
offer device-by-device control, the Harmony Remote provides user-friendly,
"activity-based" control. The H655 is custom configured on a personal
home page accessible by both PC and MACs. Users simply answer a
series of online prompts about his or her A/V system.
The remote is configured by downloading all
instructions for each user's unique mix of components, via the supplied
USB cable. After the remote is configured, users simply select an
activity, such as "Watch Television" or "Play a DVD," from the remote's
LCD screen. This configuration is always safely stored on the user's
web page so they can make changes any time they want with their
web browser. This simplified and groundbreaking approach eliminates
the need to perform complicated programming required of other universal
remotes.
The Harmony H655 not only controls every
conceivable A/V component, it also controls game box devices, music
servers, curtains, lights and much more. The suggested retail price
of the H655 is £150 including VAT.
