Denon will demonstrate the room to room and install capabilities the AVR-3805 at CEDIA UK 2004 (1/6/2004)

The AVR-3805 is a full multi-room amp with 3 zones, RS 232 interface and Crestron etc compatibility.

Room 1 - surround audio and any video standard
Room 2 - stereo audio and composite video feed
Room 3 - stereo feed to drive a local D-M31 or similar
* If the amp is used in 5.1 configuration - the spare 2 power channels can drive speakers in Zone 2 or 3

The Denon AVR-3805 replaces the highly rated AVR-3803 and delivers a huge performance boost. The jump in model number is deliberate to signify a major model change and upgrade. ** This figure is for comparison purposes as some competitors use this DIN spec to inflate their power outputs. Some only quote into 6 ohms at 1kHz at 1% distortion for the same reason. Real specs should be 20Hz to 20kHz into 8 ohms at less than 0.05% distortion

Self configuring Adaptive Displays

The huge displays reconfigure to match every Denon function eg: touch controls for playing a DVD appear when DVD is selected, tuner gives tuning and so on. The handset has full learning capabilities and is pre-programmed for most major brands. The RC-970 will control AV, Hi-fi, TV, satellite etc etc.

Denon Link is the highest performance digital link available, substantially outperforming IEEE-1394 FireWire in the areas of jitter, susceptibility to noise & interference and with a massively greater transfer speed of 1.2gB per second as opposed to 400mB per sec. This gives huge headroom and room for future expansion. The AVR-3805 will receive, decode & process the raw digital audio data from a matching Denon DVD player, (DVD-A1, DVD-A11 and more to come) delivering marked sonic improvements on DVD video soundtracks, CD stereo music and two-channel / multi-channel DVD-Audio and on Denon Link 3, SACD/DSD.
