Integrated Lighting & Audio Solutions from LEAX Controls (1/6/2004)

Responding to the increasing requirements of system integrators to offer a neat and elegant solution to their clients, Leax have developed a range of fully combined lightng control and audio plates. Used in conjunction with a Crestron, AMX or IMI system these plates act as slave control offering a neat and elegant integrated solution throughout a project. This is a step towards better design and away from the 'wall acne' of multiple plates. With the LCD AV control plate Leax provides an easy to use menu allowing users to choose different control (eg. Lighting, Curtains, Audio) with options to then select multiple AV sources (DVD, Tuner, TV, CD etc). A system may contain several of these control plates all interfaced to the AV System Control Processor via a Bi-Directional RS232 gateway. Leax also have an integrated plate without LCD feedback (LXSAV) offering control of multiple AV sources to the RH side and scene setting to the LH side. Both plates offer a budget systems solution enabling wider use of audio distribution throughout a project.

Leax Lighting Controls are new members of Cedia and this will be their first time exhibiting at Expo. The company manufactures scene set dimming controls for the high end residential and commercial markets. Widely used throughout the hotel and leisure industry as well as in domestic installations, the SceneMaster 8000 offers unparalleled flexibility to the installer and elegance to the end client. All control plates are available in a wide range of custom and fixingless finishes, Leax pride themselves on offering a total lighting solution to any project. The system comes with curtain controls, infrared, presence detection, daylight linking and astronmical time clock functions. SceneMaster 8000 operates on a LonWorks protocol allowing easy interface to all BMS and AV systems.

Programming is carried out from the scene plates themselves removing the necessity for expensive engineers visits. Systems can be pre-configured at the point of production to the customer's schedule allowing the system to be shipped ready to use. The system is simple to install and easy to program.

The SceneMaster 8000 is available with the recently launched full colour touchscreen with Lighting Management Application and suite of software packages.
